Live & Local Show - 'Back To The Land Girls', Saturday 12th March
“Back To The Land Girls” is based on the true stories of the real Land Girls during the 1940s and tells the story of Buff the confident Scouser who dreams of being just like Vera Lynn. Buff is billeted with Biddy, a country girl who thinks she is ‘nowt’, but between them they are turning heads and breaking hearts.
It’s a heart-warming story of blisters, back-ache and banter with the locals, the American Servicemen and the Italian Prisoners stationed nearby.
There is music from the era as well as some new tunes.

will start in Church Lawford and
finish in Wolston, 7th June 2008. Come along and join in the fun. Fund raising stalls (in aid of
the new village hall garden) will be held in Wolston.
